"The differences? When I needed new AC, I got three on-site estimates. One was a glossy car-salesman-like company, another was an old-family folksy company, and then Great Lakes. The glossy guy I disliked, and it was pricey. The folksy guy I liked, but his knowledge was lacking--he thought my old AC concrete pad would work fine, but the Great Lakes guy said you need a new pad, and also he recommended running a new duct from the basement to upstairs so that cooler air there saves stress on the AC system. "Our a/c died a few weeks ago with temps in the 90s. Great lakes came out the same day, Mr. Stoner was professional and gregarious. No one likes to have to pay for a new a/c but he made it a bit easier. The price was comparable to other companies in the area. They had my new unit installed within two days. The gentleman who installed it were on time and worked extremely clean. If we were not already impressed with the impeccable service the lovely gift bag and the lemon cookies were out of this world.
